Inspired by the book Filodora in the Village of Arts – A modern fairy tale of dreams, art and magic, The Thread of Dreams is a creative workshop for children where reading, imagination, dialogue and drawing come together in one shared experience.
The activity begins with about 20 minutes of reading selected passages from the book. Children are introduced to the world of Filodora and its characters, gradually entering the atmosphere of the story and its themes of dreams, imagination and creativity.
The reading is followed by an interactive conversation. Children can ask questions, share their ideas, talk about their thoughts and experiences, and speak about their dreams and imagination.
The second part of the workshop is devoted to creativity.
Each child creates a personal drawing, in pencil or colour, with activities adapted to the age of the participants. Through drawing, everyone can give shape to their imagination and create their own personal “spool of dreams”.
The workshop becomes a journey that starts with a story and leads to free personal expression: listening, imagining, sharing and, finally, creating.
At the end of the activity, each participant receives a Dreamer Certificate and their own “piece of sky”, a symbol of the dream each child carries with them.
The Thread of Dreams is designed for schools, bookshops, fairs, festivals, educational farms and events dedicated to children, and can be organised in different settings throughout Italy.
An experience in which a story becomes a thread to follow, a pencil with which to draw and a small dream to cherish.
