Algo:ritmi and Performing The Club present nesso with the live A/V performance Algorave Express, an event marking the public presentation of ADRenaline – Artist Development Residency, an artistic residency project dedicated to the development of emerging contemporary artistic practices through an interdisciplinary and experimental approach.
The Artist Development Residency was created to foster dialogue between emerging artists and established professionals, offering a learning environment based on hands-on experience, research, and critical exchange as key tools for artistic and professional growth.
The evening’s protagonist is Francesco Corvi, aka nesso, a sound and multimedia artist known for his research in computer music, live coding, and generative art. His practice operates at the intersection of microsound, noise, and glitch, producing compositions that evoke abstract perceptions of time and altered states of awareness. Over the years, he has released several experimental club records, developing a distinctive language that spans IDM, algorave, and post-club.
Balancing computer music, deconstructed club, algorave, and post-internet art, nesso has shaped a recognizable style marked by twisted rhythms, abrasive textures, and hyperactive visuals. Released on labels such as Superpang, Gin&Platonic, Kaer Uiks, and Heel.zone, his music offers a radical and innovative vision of club culture, deeply influenced by his work as a live coder and sound hacker.
The evening will continue with DJ sets curated by Genau x Reconnection.
Algo:ritmi
Founded in 2019, Algo:ritmi is a cultural innovation project that brings together visual arts, electronic music, and club culture with contemporary technologies and languages, creating immersive and multidisciplinary experiences. The project spans exhibitions, artist residencies, educational programs, audiovisual live performances, and virtual events in the Metaverse, including practices such as live mapping, generative art, interactive site-specific installations, virtual reality, and cross-reality environments.
Events take place both in public spaces—contributing to urban regeneration—and in museums and historic venues, enhancing the architectural and cultural heritage of the territories involved.
Performing The Club
Performing The Club is a project conceived by Cristina Baù that creates a dialogue between contemporary art and club culture. By exploring the relationships between clubbing, music, performance art, visual art, and dance, the project develops participatory experiences in which audiences engage directly with live performances.
By rethinking the use of non-conventional venues such as clubs, space becomes a container for articulated performative practices, where the emotions of performers and audiences merge, generating new perspectives and engaging increasingly diverse publics.
