There is a moment, deep within our collective memory, when an ancient image resurfaces like an omen. A voice is passed on, a sound travels outward, a figure emerges from the fog and calls to us. It is in this suspended territory between myth and perception, between what we remember and what we imagine, that Stalker Teatro shapes “The Wolf’s Fog”: a se”nsorial journey that reinterprets the oral traditions of Southern Italy and returns them as a visionary, shared experience open to audiences of all ages.
The 38th edition of Officine CAOS’ season Differenti Sensazionicontinues its exploration of contemporary performing arts by hosting one of Italy’s longest-standing and most renowned interdisciplinary companies, active for over forty years across theatre, visual arts, and public participation.

A thin fog advances like a premonition, enveloping the space and making it porous, permeable. From this veil emerge figures that seem to come from a distant time: bodies that search for one another, listen, lose themselves and reunite as if within an ancient rite. Stories are not narrated but surface like fragments of a shared dream; sounds do not accompany but orient; images do not illustrate but open unexpected passages in perception.
The stage becomes a territory of metamorphosis, a landscape where the visible and the invisible brush against one another. The performers move as bearers of a fragile knowledge, made of gestures handed down through time, of echoes that resonate, of apparitions that dissolve the moment we try to grasp them. Every movement is a threshold, every voice a call, every light a passage that opens and closes. In this sensorial crossing, the audience is invited to be guided more by intuition than logic, entering an imaginative world that unfolds as a space to inhabit.
Critics have described the performance as ahyper-sensorial experience, capable of transforming the stage into a living organism where visual arts, electronic music, and performative gesture merge into a single emotional current. Some reviews speak of “visions that remain imprinted like apparitions,” while others highlight the “initiatory” nature of the work, recognizing in The Wolf’sFog a continuity with Stalker Teatro’s visual research and with the legacy of Arte Povera.
