The festival at Officine CAOS continues with its 38th edition, bringing to the stage some of the most innovative voices from the national and international performing arts scene. After the first two sold-out evenings, the program now moves forward with its third appointment, confirming the audience’s enthusiasm and the festival’s ability to intertwine different languages and visions, offering unique and engaging experiences that blend artistic research with new sensibilities.

“SEX.exe” Voluptas

“SEX.exe” is a glitch ritual, a short circuit between body and code, desire and system. A choreography that investigates the overwriting of identity and dynamics of control, where dancers move through digital projections and living matter, oscillating between freedom and imposition.
The performance unfolds as a multidisciplinary project combining dance, visual arts, spoken word, and technology. At its core lies a reflection on the objectification of the body and its historical reduction to a static image, shaped by cultural codes and external gazes. The choreographic score begins with two-dimensional gestures inspired by ancient iconographies—from Egyptian hieroglyphs to cave paintings, from Greek vases to sacred art—before progressively opening into a fluid and contemporary dimension. Strobe lights, intense sounds, and nudity contribute to creating a symbolic and archetypal universe, where body and technology merge in a visionary ritual that questions freedom of expression and the manipulation of representation.
The piece is conceived and choreographed by Pablo Ezequiel Rizzo for Voluptas, featuring Alessandra Cozzi, Elena Della Manna, and Eleonora Gambini. Dramaturgy by Eliana Rotella; original music by Adriano Fedele and Benedetta Gaggioli, with musical arrangement by Pablo Ezequiel Rizzo and additional music by NIN and Arca. Video editing and projections by Pablo Ezequiel Rizzo, coding art by Marco Pierini, glitch art by Marco Bosetti, costumes by Manuel Bagnato.
