The Officine CAOS season “Differenti Sensazioni – 38th edition” continues its journey through multidisciplinary arts, and in this event it hosts the visionary universe of the French company Cie De Fracto with the performance “Monography”. A recent creation, already welcomed in residency at La Brèche – Pôle National Cirque in Cherbourg, one of the leading French centres dedicated to contemporary circus, and presented in its Italian national premiere in 2025. A journey into contemporary juggling, blending rigour, humour, and a graphic imagination that expands like an animated cartoon in motion.

Monography is a solo by Guillaume Martinet that unfolds as a sequence of patterns, variations, and repetitions: a beginning that returns, a juggling that transforms, an ending that multiplies. A cycle that repeats, cracks, reinvents itself. The performer moves through seven autonomous yet interconnected episodes, building a black and white world where the precision of movement becomes language, rhythm, narration. The stage is a square, a graphic field animated by a switch, a marker, the body, and the trajectories of objects. Everything moves with the logic of a living cartoon, where the absurd coexists with poetry and technique becomes imagination.
Martinet’s juggling is rigorous and three dimensional, yet also ironic, fragile, unpredictable. Each sequence is a small universe that opens and closes, an exercise in presence and metamorphosis. The performance invites the audience into a world unlike anything familiar, where repetition becomes a way to explore error, variation, possibility.
Cie De Fracto is one of the most renowned companies in contemporary European juggling, capable of blending virtuosity, physical comedy, and visual research. Their work stands out for its essential aesthetic, radical use of space, and an approach to juggling as a total art form, able to dialogue with theatre, dance, and visual arts.
