“Never Perfect” is a social and museum project, but also a commitment, a mission to bring people closer, through art, to human stories.

Never Perfect is the story of a “being who shatters,” loses himself, ends up dissolving in the darkest despair and dies.

Hidden in that very death is the seed of his rebirth.

In a certain sense, the artist applies “kintsugi,” the ancient Japanese art, an Eastern philosophy that serves as a metaphor for personal growth through adversity. The “cracks” and breaks in an object (or person) are highlighted and enhanced, rather than hidden, transforming them into a strength and a source of beauty and uniqueness, a source of new rebirth.

The wounds and cracks on a face, that of the artist, become opportunities for breaking points or traumas to be seen not as something to be erased, but as integral parts of an individual’s history.

Never Perfect embodies the psychology and metaphor of kintsugi, where the healing process does not aim to erase the past, but to integrate it into one’s identity, enhancing one’s inner resources. The repaired being becomes stronger and more unique than before, signifying that negative experiences can lead to inner growth by accepting one’s own fragilities as part of one’s life journey.

My gaze is always turned to the future, beyond the limits of Leopardi’s infinity, where at the edge I glimpse immense valleys of knowledge. Oblivion pushes me to set sail against time, toward unknown seas and unlikely deserts. I seek not a destination, but always and only a new, courageous journey.

A journey I learn to sip slowly, in a tyrannical universe, strengthened by the experience I earn at a high price.
