The video presents an overview of some of Vogler’s works from recent years. Spanning a wide range of styles and subjects, these pieces demonstrate Vogler’s versatility as a contemporary figurative artist. His artistic inquiry is entirely free from trends and clichés, aiming instead for the heart of the figurative tradition and exploring its various possibilities at times arriving at a form of direct quotation, albeit one reimagined in a deeply personal and autonomous way. Ultimately, this represents an unbroken dialogue with tradition, a defining characteristic that has become essential to his entire body of work.
