“CA12G92E2” autom@tedVisualMusiC 4.01 — A Tribute to John Cage
The project, conceived and curated by Sergio Maltagliati, multimedia artist and composer, is an interactive installation/performance inspired by the poetics of John Cage: performers contribute to creating a sound and visual environment through simple actions and gestures, guided by the principle of controlled chance.
This project pays tribute to John Cage through three actions of 4’33’’, exploring the relationship between silence and creative liberty.
Presented at the XV Florence Biennale is conceived as a tribute to John Cage, master of silence and creative freedom. Three performances, each lasting the symbolic 4’33”, explore listening, action, and collective participation, weaving historical memory with contemporary digital languages. In line with this edition’s theme, the project connects silence and sound, individual and community, memory and technology, offering the audience a poetic and collective experience —intimate yet open to the future.
